How do renewals work?

Subscriptions to the Practising the Piano Online Academy renew automatically therefore you don’t need to do anything other than ensure that your payment method e.g. your card details are valid and up to date if you wish to retain your subscription (please see “How do I update my payment details?” for further instructions).

You can view your subscription details, including the renewal date and amount, via the “My Account” page or by clicking here. We also send email notifications in advance of upcoming annual renewals which sometimes include special offers that you may be entitled to.

If you wish to change or cancel your subscription, then you can also do this via the “My Account” page or by clicking here (please see “How do I cancel or change my subscription?” for further instructions).

How do I update my payment details?

You can view, update or change the payment card you wish to use for the purposes of renewing your subscription using the secure card form under “Payment details” on the “My account” page.

Please note that we do not ever store your card details on our servers or have direct access to them as these are handled directly by Stripe which is a state of the art payments gateway. Therefore, we will only show the last four digits and expiry date of your card once it has been updated.

Click here to visit your account page, enter the details of the card you wish to use and click “Update”.

How do I change my subscription?

You can change your subscription at any time by using the “Change subscription” form on the “My Account” page to select the subscription option you wish to change to and clicking “Change plan / apply coupon”.

If you upgrade, then you will be charged the difference between your current subscription option and the upgrade option. If you downgrade from an annual / premium subscription to the monthly option, then the pro-rata portion of your original subscription fee will be set-off as a credit against future payments.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription by setting it to cancel at the period end (in which case it will not renew automatically) or by deleting your account altogether which will cancel it immediately.

Please note that that deleting your account destroys your user account and any subscriptions you have entirely whereas cancelling at the end of the period will automatically change you to a free subscription which enables you to retain access to your account and any eBooks that you’ve purchased.

I’ve forgotten my password

If you’ve forgotten your password, then you can reset it here by requesting a reset email. Please note that you will need to enter the email address associated with your account in order to request a reset. If the email address is correct but you haven’t received the password reset email, then please check your spam or junk mail folders before attempting to send an additional reset email.

How do I change my password?

If you are signed in, you can change your password via the “My Account” page which can be accessed via the button on the top right hand side of the screen or by clicking here. If you are not signed in and have forgotten your password, then you can request a reset email here.
